The power to control
RACK2
Crestron has long been the leader in control system
design and innovation, with many industry firsts and
achievement awards. With the introduction of the
2-Series family of control products, Crestron set a new
standard of excellence in control system technology.
All 2-Series control products are based on an exclusive
powerful Dual Bus control engine. Therefore, software
programs and development tools are totally cross-
compatible. The only difference between products are
hardware resources such as the number and types of input
and output ports and the number and types of card slots.
Crestron has separated cost from performance. The
performance will always be the same: unbeatable.
With their blinding speed, massive memory and
revolutionary Dual Bus architecture, Crestron control
systems are built from the ground up for high
performance, secure Internet communications and
dynamic expansion capabilities. The 40Mb/s Y-Bus
supports a wide assortment of control cards and serves
as the pipeline for IR, serial communications, Versiports
and relays. The 300Mb/s Z-Bus is designed for super high
speed control card applications including 10/100 Ethernet.
The 2-Series also provides true secure network
communications. The dual port 10/100 BaseT Ethernet
card supports dynamic and static IP addressing and full
duplex TCP/IP and UDP/IP. Crestron Ethernet processors
are DHCP and DNS enabled with support for SSL (Secure
Sockets Layer). A built-in firewall delivers the ultimate
in security, with Network Address Translator (NAT) and
router functions, and the built-in Web Server uses memory
storage on a Compact Flash Card for remote access
and control.
