As part of Crestron’s innovative audio video distribution
offering, a selection of room solution products has been
developed to satisfy the entertainment needs of every
homeowner. All products include the same control hardware
consisting of 4 IR ports, 1 RS-232 port, 1 IR detector
input port, and a current sensor input.
These hardware resources provide for complete local control
of AV sources as well as a video projector, plasma screen
or television. An optional current sensor will report if
the display device has been turned on. The optional IR
detector will allow the use of universal IR remotes for
system control.
Our room solution products solve a complex problem in
a simple way. While watching a component video source on
a component input television, there’s no need to convert
composite video from a security camera to component
video for viewing on a television. Crestron’s control
capability will remotely switch the composite video source
to the desired room. The room solution box will switch the
composite video source to the composite video input of the
television. The television will automatically be placed in
the composite video viewing mode by the IR control of the
room solution box.
Crestron has pioneered the use of CAT5 wire as the basic
building block for a unique cost-effective structured wire
media distribution.
The CNXRMC is designed to provide cost-effective
distribution of video over CAT5 and control. The use
of this model requires just one CAT5 cable and one
Cresnet cable.
The CNXRMCLV is designed to provide the complete
room solution for both local and remote sources. This
unit includes an 8 x 8 video crosspoint switch and
volume and tone controls. Incoming line level audio
signals may be locally amplified with local control of
volume and tone. The CNXRMCLV will provide composite,
S-Video, component video and digital audio for use by
a local surround sound processor.
Local audio sources may be directed to the central
equipment rack and re-directed to any room in the
house. In addition, you can locally record remote audio
and video sources, or even duplicate from one source to
another with the simple touch of a button.
