Embed Apps (Embedded Applications)
The Embed Apps button opens a window that permits setting Internet security to
different levels for different types of Internet sites.
Embedded Apps Window
Three security levels (High, Medium and Low) can be selected for each of the three
zones (Internet, Local Intranet, and Trusted Sites). The security levels are defined
as:
High: The safest way to browse, but also the least functional. Less secure
features are disabled. Appropriate for sites that may have harmful content.
Medium: Safe browsing and still functional. Prompts before downloading
potentially unsafe content. Unsigned ActiveX controls are not downloaded.
Appropriate for most Internet sites.
Low: Minimal safeguards and warning prompts are provided. Most content
is downloaded and run without prompts. All active content can run.
Appropriate for sites that are absolutely trusted.
Touch Default to restore the default security settings. By default, security is set to
Medium for Internet and Local Intranet, and Low for Trusted Sites.
The Embedded Apps window also permits the user to enable the popup windows
(child windows) that open when in Internet Explorer (not the popup windows of the
embedded applications).

Touch Close after all changes have been made. The touch screen must be rebooted
for changes to take effect. Refer toSave & Reboot and Shut Down Details” on page
35 for more information.
