Crestron CN-TVAV Programmable TV/AV Controller
Operations Guide - DOC. 5722B Programmable TV/AV Controller: CN-TVAV 7
1 The listed internal fuse is available from Wickmann (www.wickmannusa.com, part
number 3701100041) and larger commercial retailers.
2 The latest software version can be obtained from the What’s New page (SIMPL
Windows section) or Downloads page (SIMPLWIN Library) of Crestron’s website
(www.crestron.com). New users are required to register in order to obtain access to
the FTP site.
3 Filenames for update files have a UPZ extension and can be obtained from the
What’s New page (Control Systems Update Files section) or Downloads page
(OPSYS Library) of Crestron’s website. Update files are designed for specific
devices. If an update file is loaded into a device other than for which it was intended,
it may lockup the device that would then have to be returned to Crestron. Update
files with a “S” designator for the ST-CP, “V” designator are for CEN/CN-TVAV,
W” for CNRACKX/-DP, and “X” for the CNMSX-AV/Pro. These devices are able
to recognize and reject incorrect update files. However, when updating, do not
ignore any Crestron Viewport warning prompts or messages.
4 Maximum number of SIMPL Windows analog and digital signals that CN-TVAV
can process.
5 The CN-TVAV has a simulated clock and simulated NVRAM. If power is lost, the
clock and symbols utilizing simulated NVRAM do not maintain previous settings.
6 Due to program size in the CNMSX, the recommended limit of CN-TVAVs
programmed into a CNMSX using the CNXENET+ card is 25 if each room (CN-
TVAV) also contains a touchpanel. With this configuration, (depending upon the
wiring, it may be advisable to add a CNXHUB), 20 sources may be programmed
with the 25 rooms. If there are no touchpanels are utilized, the recommended limit of
CN-TVAVs is 30. If a Cresnet system has more rooms, either connect additional
CN-TVAVs to another CNMSX or utilize CEN-TVAVs.
7 The weight listed is the combined weight of the CN-TVAV, STIRP, 5-pin
connector, and modular cable.
As of the date of manufacture, this unit has been tested and found to comply with
specifications for CE marking.
NOTE: This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to
the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may
cause undesired operation.
