Programmable TV/AV Controller Crestron CN-TVAV
26 Programmable TV/AV Controller: CN-TVAV Operations Guide - DOC. 5722B
Local Processing Mode
NOTE: The CN-TVAV in the Local Processing Mode does not function as a “full
scale” control system and support a local Cresnet system (ie. touchpanels, etc. The
CEN-TVAV may be used as a device controller while supporting a local Cresnet
system.
In the Local Processing Mode, the CN-TVAV is programmed to access and control
the local hardware ports. Use the Configuration Manager workspace (Project |
Configure System) in SIMPL Windows to select and configure all the devices that
need to be included into the system. From the Control Systems folder in the Device
Library, select “CN-TVAV Local Processing”. Drag and drop the CN-TVAV into
Network System View and the symbol appears as shown below.

NOTE: SIMPL Windows contains Intersystem Communication (ISC) devices that
provide a simple method to cross link analog, digital, and serial data signals between
a control system and a Mixed Processing Mode network device (ie. CN-TVAV). The
CN-ISC is automatically added but when in a Local Processing Mode or Remote
Processing Mode, it is not used and may be commented out. For further information,
refer to “Typical Programming Example” on page 28.
Remote Processing Mode
In the Remote Processing Mode, the CN-TVAV does not contain a program. The
slots and Cresnet devices are accessed solely from the host control system that
generates all the proper network packets to control the hardware. To utilize a
CN-TVAV as a peripheral, drag and drop the "CN-TVAV Remote Processing" from
the "Network Control Modules" onto the Net-Device slot in the control system (or
Cresnet Units in Network System View). In the Program Manager workspace
(Project | Program System), the CN-TVAV appears in the program view as shown
on the next page.

cross link analog, digital, and serial data signals between a control system and a
Mixed Processing Mode network device (ie. CN-TVAV). The CN-ISC is
automatically added but when in a Local Processing Mode or Remote Processing
